Avatar re-release YOU going to see it?

Well I am in 2 minRAB whether to see it again as it has been announced that although the new theatre release will have 9 minutes of extra footage, the new Bluray in november will have 16 minutes:eek:.
Why do they not give us this in the theatre release?

Those are similar to the kind I had problems with. They won't fit over my regular glasses, and it took a good hour of arguing with the cinema staff to get a refund.

Same here. I'm not willing to pay the extra premium at the cinema just to see it in 3D, I'd rather get the DVD or Blu-Ray for the price of that. I'm not sure if it'd be my type of film anyway.

No. I briefly caught a sound-muted trailer of it tonight on TV, first time I have seen any 'live' clips of it until now. Didn't know what it was until the name came up, and before that point just thought it looked stupid. It reminded me of those 'pillow people' Comfort Vaporesse aRAB that did the rounRAB a few years ago.

Yes. I hate the 3D thing, but I only watched Avatar on DVD for the first time recently and feel I missed out watching it on the big screen.

Don't bother with watching Avatar Special Edition in cinemes. It's nothing but a huge con to line up James Cameron's pockets with even more cash.

Yes it contains nine new minutes of footage. Because what

I have seen it in 3D when it first came out, not a bad film all in all (I do sometimes wonder what took soooo long to make it a realisation) but I did like ferngully :)

But this is blatant money making on the part of the Film Companies. Why Re-release it if not just to sponge more money off folks. I mean adding extra scenes in a hope that people will want to see it again. Why not just release the "Director's Cut" version straight away? Because this way people pay for seeing the same film twice.

I won't be watching it again. But my Dad might go and watch it, because he missed it the first time round.

Come on people! 12 more seconRAB of Na'vi sex! What's not to like? (Although apparently Cameron says it's foreplay - hmm - blue schlong)

I think the re-release of 3D films is a good idea. It gives you a reason to go to the cinema.

(BTW Here's a mocking animation to celebrate it's rerelease: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F32LPG3CIoc )
