Avatar Day 21st August!

Yes but Titanic had all ages going to see it over and over. This definitely wont have the same appeal. It's cost over $300 million to make and there's still the massive marketing costs to be added. So realisitically it neeRAB to make $600 million plus to be profitable. I'm not so sure it can.

Got my tickets for Cineworld tomorrow for the sneak peek!

This movie is going to be huge!

Not long now until trailer time....t minus 2 hours 1 minute!

Somehow I doubt that James Cameron will go hungry.:)
If something sounded like a bad idea 14 years ago, there's probably a reason.

please don't tell me after all this time, that the teaser is exclusive to apple:mad:

my pc does seem to like the site there

I ams ure I have quicktime but it does seem to work

You don't get the effect from the 2D trailer, once you see it the way it's been made to be viewed, then it's suppose to be amazing. The effects do look a bit off in the trailer, but you are not viewing this film properly.

So unfortunately, if like me, you don't like 3D(I know it's a different kind) and have to wear the glasses, you will miss out on the full effect apparently.

I suspect all the secrecy and build-up will lead some people to feel disappointed when they finally see the trailer.
Nothing ever lives up to it's hype and in this case, it might be counter-productive.

LOL!

It just looks like a decently rendered game cutscene to me. No more no less. And for that reason I can't see it appealing to people who aren't gamers, sci-fi fans or aged under 13.
The studio will have to cross its fingers and hope for repeat viewings to recoup that big ol budget.

no no no no no no no no no no no no no

I was expecting much more (only based on the hype) Im sure in 3d its going to be one hell of a ride, but i was hoping for a jurrasic park moment, but it just wasnt there.

Going to keep my fingers crossed though, and ofcourse i will be in line to see it!!

Hold on to your hats, the hype begins today. Saw a brief plug on Sky news this morning. Yep, here we go 'the greatest film ever made'.

Sorry to sound so cynical but I know this is gonna be one of those films that I get sick of hearing about way before it even airs.

Based on what I just watched earlier, it certainly won't be the greatest film ever made. I will bet on that.

It'll more likely end up at the other end of the quality spectrum.
