the avant garde stuff i had to listen to for Western Art Music class was pretty bizarre. I think it was interesting sort of but not my thing.

I am all for experimentation, but I do have to say, it seems a little much to ask to lump all avant-garde music into one pile that I either like or dislike. Like all other music, there is some that I find appealing and some that I don't.
