Autumnwatch

I'm watching, really enjoyed this seasons watching so far. And yep Packham is very easy on the eye. I'm a lucky gal, as hubster looks a little bit like him! :)

Just had to post, and I know it's totally off top; but I love your username!! Inspired from Trap Door by any chance?

*edit*

Sorry Flutegirl. he's an only child.

They did it weekly last year, too. Apparently you can get a better range of the events in the natural calendar in the autumn by spreading it over several weeks instead of concentrating it over a fortnight as Springwatch does.

Could someone PLEASE tell Mr. Floppy to get a hair cut. Does his Mum read this forum? Anyone?

He just looks daft now. He is making a mockery of himself. It is nearly that time when Harry Enfield will do a sketch about his silly floppy hair.

Absolutely!

She is very annoying, constantly saying 'Absolutely' & 'Indeed'.

Also anyone notice how she keeps looking ove the shoulder of Chris (previously Bill) when she is filmed talking to Chris from a side angle? It almost as if she has spotted something in the bushes behind Chris!

I like Chris Packham, especially when he pulls out pics of his beloved dogs that he seems to miss so much whilst filming!
He seems to have a great rapport with Kate 'indeed' Humble!

This is the first I have heard of the show being on, and I've watched every year before :(. How long has it been going so far, and how long does it have left, if anyone knows? :)

I must say that it hasn't exactly been advertised and I'm quite upset about the news about Simon. Ever since David Attenborough finished his 'Life' series a few years back, the BBC seems to be pushing its wildlife documentaries far less. We have lost Big Cat Week/Diary it seems and I have heard nothing of a return for that show, and now the BBC are (at the most) scarcely advertising Autumnwatch.

Last night was the 3rd week, think it runs for another 5 weeks. It proabaly neeRAB to be on more than once a week. Didn't really realise that BCD had been axed completely, used to really enjoy that.

There has been no official confirmation of it, and Simon King was out on the Masai Mara this year filming the Big Cats for a new Disney movie to be released next year. Jonathan Scott has said he would love to get back in the jeep and do it again, however the BBC are being quite avoidant on discussing the programme. There is always a chance it will come back, and next year would be great for the BBC as it would get a lot of publicity off the back of the Disney film. And it wouldn't be the first time the show has been on a break, it did so for a few years before the turn of the century I believe.

If it does come back, here is hoping for the 'Week' format to return, which got great viewing figures and was a nice weeklong series that everyone seemed to enjoy. Due to the time difference and other complications, I felt the series couldn't adopt the 'Live' format that is used by Springwatch as it swiftly became an hour-long chat around a camp fire.

Thanks for the Autumnwatch details too :D

I heard theres a bit of a hooharr going on at autumn watch.

i read somewhere that the male presenter was told that he wasnt allowed to wear his ugg boots and a thick jacket 'because it didnt look right on screen' but the female presenter was. so he has to freeze - how sexist is that.
