I'm gonna be attending to tech college starting this coming spring 2010 to become an automotive technician. I have got 2 questions ..My #1 question is , I know that the school requires students to have their own tools but I'm not sure for this 2 year degree how much I'm gonna be spending on tools? Are The tools that I'm gonna buy right after I start school in first semester gonna be enough for my degree or am i gonna keep buying tools as i go thru semesters?

#2 question.. As an automotive technician, when i graduate from school , do i have to buy a lot more tools to be able to work for a dealership or a shop? or those places already have tools ready for us , so we don't have to worry about buying tools to in order for us to work?

Be advised, if you become an automotive technician, you're going to be buying tools of one sort or another for the rest of your career - sometimes on a weekly basis.
From experience, I highly recommend that you only purchase high quality tools - most reputable tool dealers have a lifetime guarantee on most of their hand tools and that alone is worth the price difference.
