I've been shopping around for jeeps over the last few weeks checking all the online adds every day. I was hoping for a manual tranny but all I can find in my price range is automatics. Preferably I would rather drive an automatic just cause I'm lazy but in the long run I could care less. I know manuals are better when driving offroad and all but how far behind do autos really lag. Also will there be any reliability problems with the big tires and all with and automatic. Thanks for your time.
The make and model jeep Im seriously considering is a 2003 wrangler. I found a really sweet one with 46,000 miles and clean as hell for 12,900 I know he'll go 12,000

knowing the model year you want would help, but 90's model jeeps have the same trans as the dodge pickups, dodge makes very strong transes.

really big tires wont be a problem, its about ur suspension
the big tires will drink some gas though
but in ur suspenson is good u should be fine
