Does the dashboard gauge say what gear you are in when you put it into manual mode?

Can you shift into neutral when your in the manual mode?

I am talking about the 2004 model. try to provide links of where you got your information.
 
it should say which gear, i had a prelude with a auto with manual mode and it says that as well,

for going manual mode to neutral no, you have to move back over to drive then up to neutral common sense
