I got this car back in '08 as a first car. A few months after I had it though, it started having this problem of it going to first gear, but then having a hard time going to the other gears. We took the car to a maniac and after awhile, we thought we had it fix because it wouldn't do that anymore. But it's starting to act up again. It'll change from 1st gear just fine but I have to push down kinda hard on the engine pedal to make it change again. The engine oil and antifreeze are full. What should I do? Is this fixable at home or do I need to go to a mechanic?
