I currently work as a AutoCad mechanical engineering technician. I'm looking to move back to the city I grew up in which is 1500 miles away. I'm preparing my resume and getting everything together however I'm quite scared. I know the only chances of getting a job in another state is if you are in high demand. Makes sense, why would someone bother waiting for someone to make a move when someone is willing to stat next day.
Are my skills in demand? I know engineering has taken a hit with the economy but being a single male, I'm not asking for a lot of money.
