Hello to everybody.
Have a Siemens C72V and using Papua's utility it says:
"Boot in "Service mode"...
Press RED key (Power ON)!
Auto Ignition...
Boot not loaded!
Get a cable with auto-ignition or better make it!
Phone is in "Charge Mode" mode!
Phone is Turned Off...
Try again."

Now I have an original DCA-500 Siemens COM (serial to phone) cable.
What does the program mean that I must have an AUTO-IGNITION CABLE?

Does someone can tell me what to add to my pin's cable to make it that way?

Best Regards
Houseman

Many Thanks, electrosoft.

For the C72V model which schema must I use: Pin1 like M55 or Pin3?
Greets from Italy

I have try this, but it doesn't work for me. On the Papua site there is a auto-ignition schematics but, you got to give much time to build it.

Hi sin_daemon.
I don't know if it works also for me or not.
Sometimes yes (i can enter service mode with the phone OFF) and sometimes no.

I've found that leaving off the 2k2 resistor to pin 1 it works better.
Let me know if you success.
Bye

best auto ignition cable you can modify any PL2303 based cable by adding Max232 and some condensers
regards

Thanks a lot, GSM Deals.
I must have somewhere an Prolific USB to RS232.
Let you know the results.
Sorry for my question,perhaps stupid.

"What can I manage to do to my phone once I'm in service mode?"
Except DISPLAY shows SERVICE MODE?
Best Regards
Houseman

The circuit for Com1 based on MAX232 transciver/receiver with external source in the circuit post for electrosoft with autoignition much more stable, although less speed works.

IF you boot to Service Mode with proper BootKEY , then you can Unlock the phone with "Freia.log" button and then 'Cancel' to Save Dialog and Yes when offering to Write blocks in phone...

But PapuaUtils works fine with original DCA-510 cable...
You just have to press the RED button at correct timing... (not too late!).
Better of course is cable with Auto-Ignition.

You are right, thanks dspmobile!
I have found it two days ago trying to find the ideal timing.
About 1nSec. after pressing "Service Mode"

Thanks.

Perhaps this will solve my problem with flashing with Winswup.
All the messages like:
Can't connect to Mobile with BootstrapLoader on Com 1" and "Could not open Comport for BFC-Lib, maybe Comport is in use"
WITH ALL APPLICATIONS CLOSED AND THE PC REBOOTED!!!
Have you had/heard problems like this before?
B.R.

It looks like what it says...

Another program holds the Com port...
Or
Not the correct Com Port chosen...

Reboot will clear any strange situation when a program , even when "exited", still holds the Com port used...
