I bought a vehicle on 10/3/09. The dealer assured me that he could not negotiate the price and that the vehicle was as clean as can be. After signing, he then explains to me that he had put two new tires on the car and that he may have hit a sensor and the ABS and Emergency break lights were on.He then said he could inspect the vehicle and told me to return in a week for him to inspect it. He gave me a temp tag and sent me on my way. Within a quater mile of the dealership, the check engine illuminated. I called him to inform him that the car lit up like a Christmas tree to which he replied to bring it in a week. As the week went by the breaks were grinding here and there. I take the car to meet him at the dealership whcih he owns and he was a no show. After repeated attempts to contact him, and an hour later, he still a no show. Three days go by until her returns my calls and asks me where I was. I informed him that I was there and he was not. Infact he had not been there all day as his deliveries were still in front of the shop. He then tells me to bring the car to hime on Tuesday of next week. Having no other car, I am forced to drive this sketchy uninspected vehicle until today when someone stopped short in front of me. The breaks failed again grinding while I plowed into the car in front. My question is simple...Is the dealer liable?
At the top it should say that he could NOT inspect the vehicle due to the break lights being on.
