Authors: Have you ever started writing your story, and instead of what you intended...?

Written something you've never thought about?

For example, I set out to write a chapter in which my main character decides to stalk away after a confrontation, and leave where she goes to the next chapter. I, however, continued writing after I finished the chapter, and found a brilliant (if I do say so myself) passage that said where she went, and explained what happened once she went there, that I'd never even thought of writing.

Just wondering, my B&A dears.
P.S. I love you all. Really, I do. This is most definitely my favorite section on Y!A. It seems we have a sense of comradeship that's absent elsewhere. It's weird, but I've noticed Y!A cliques in other sections, haha. (=

ive started to right at least a dozen books, never making it past the first few chapters, call it writers block or laziness, but the furtheset im able to get is one book i got to like chapter 10, so like a 100 pages, but i just dont know were to go from there.....there all really good storys and very original, but i think im just a protagonist haha
