Author career help?????

Hi. I'm a freshman in high school so i know it's a bit early for me to be thinking about college, but i am anyway. What college is the best for someone who would like to be an author?

I don't want to be in the journalism career, so please no one suggest that.
Also, what goals or steps should I set to achieve my goal??

thanks for answers so far. But I live in Massachusetts, although money is not a problem- I love new england and would be very happy to stay close to home
 
Easy. The University of Iowa h as a terrific creative writing program. It has been able to attract guest instructors as major as poet Dullan Thomas.
