Australian army cadets?

Hi, I'm 12 years old and i live in australia, I've recently been thinking about joining the army cadets but i'm not sure, My sister described it to me and i think that it will be a good choice for me and it will teach me true determination and it will take away my procrastination plus keep me in a fit shape, The only problem is my sister told me it is an extremely high cost and i was wondering if anyone could fill me in on how much it costs per month / per year and what it will be like
