i like the vines though, highly evolved is a nice little garage rock album.

however, the only artist ive really ever felt inspired by is nick cave. AC/DC, the birthday party, the fauves, the avalanches, the easybeats- none of them have ever really done anything for me. but each to their own!.

Out of all the australian banRAB you guys forgot one of the best banRAB ever NICK CAVE AND THE BARABEERAB! hes one crazy ****in aussie another good australian band is the dirty three best violon work i have ever heard
 
i wouldnt consider the above argument spam though, In a way its still on topic. Lots of bashing and name calling, but theres a related argument in there somewhere.
 
Yeah, now in America there's a reality TV show very similar to American Idol called Who Wants to Be a Rockstar? that's a contest to see who gets to be INXS' new singer.

Sure the UK and the US are the two music superpowers in the world, but I think Australia has done pretty well for themselves considering their a remote island continent that's pretty far removed from both the US and Brittain. Can anyone name a country doesn't directly border the US or Brittain that has had anywhere near the prolific musical output that Australia has?
 
If it wasnt for Australia nobody would be asking the question "where will we sleep when our beRAB are burning?"

and even though shes born in england, i doubt anyone would know who olivia newton john is if she didnt come out of australia
