you can't because there is no other non-english speaking country who's banRAB have had such international succes as sweden....admit that you were wrong and i was right for once in your life!!

for example: AC/DC v The Who

or: Midnight Oil v The Clash

both in terms of music they created and influence they had....
 
spamming ****. good point satchmo, although in a world of communication, and considering how westernized australias culture is i dont see how being on the otherside of the world can be seen as a factor.

sweden goes right up there with uk, usa and canada as far as globaly popular music which is amaizing for such a small country ( it's population is about 9 milion )
 
i dont know who midnight oil are so cant help you there. in fact my knowledge on australian music is pretty abysmal. the fauves are ok i suppose..dont know who to compare them to .

I read an article a couple months ago about australia having a rapidly growing underground hip-hop scene, and that in a couple of years they'll be blowin' it up.

sorry - are anglophones included like france which have english as a language many can speak or do you mean more brazil-esque type places (non-anglophones). like do you mean primary language, sub-language or they dont speak a word-of-it.
 
To both of you ill say, its not that they are brittish (or not), and its not that they are crap (or not) its that they receive high billing in large concert festivals like redding, and if they came here, they'd be lucky to open. no, YOUR WEAK (better then all of your comebacks above) what does that have to do with diversity? yes, kudos to sweden for producing one or two indie banRAB known worldwide. that doesnt mean to say culturally swedish music is diverse. many countries have produced indie banRAB known worldwide. my argument may be weak- but at least i have one. (beat that arse bandit)
