Austin Powers cartoon?

I heard that in the 90s or early 2000s they were going to make a kid-friendly Austin Powers cartoon show, much like Ace Ventura, The Mask, Ghostbusters, Bill and Ted, ect.
The thing that bothers me is that Austin Powers' humour is all about sex, Then again they could have toned him down to a Johnny Bravo level.
anyone have any information, like who was producing it and why it was cancelled?

The story I'd heard was that it was going to be produced for HBO, but wether it would be MA rated like Spawn or G rated like The Neverending Story/Stuart Little was never clarified.

At any rate, this was WAY back when The Spy Who Shagged Me was released, and I haven't heard anything come from this since.

I would assume New Line would do the series, like how they produced The Mask TAS. As far as voice talent, I think Mike Meyers was on board to voice at least his characters.

That could actually be very funny.

I mean they had 22 films of Bond to parodize. That's a pretty endless stream of villains. And the psychadelic style would really be suited to animation.
