Audiovox 9155 Problem

Can anyone advise me of any suggestions?

After my cell phone is fully charged and I take it off the charger, I can only use the phone for about 2-3 hours and then the phone will not go on. And then when I put the phone on charge, it only charges for about 5-10 minutes and it says its fully charged. And then I can use the phone for another 2-3 hours.
Is it the phone or the battery? Because the phone does work for about 2-3 hours before it looses its charge.

I realise what I'm asking might be stupid but I'm trying to determine if theres something wrong what the phone or the battery. Because I know the 9155 is supposed to have a pretty long stand-by and talk-time life. So if anyone can take a jab at it, I would appreciate it. thanks
