Audio problem with windows media player?

I have noticed the whenever I play music (mp3s ripped or downloaded) with windows media player there is a shift or change in volume level on some of the songs. During playback the volume will decrease a small amount and then return to the same level. Has anyone else experienced this?
 
First off it could just be the songs that are output to that volume or, there could be something wrong with your speakers, have you tried plugging in headphones or different speakers?
