I have a 2009 Dodge Challenger and I'm thinking about replacing the stock audio system.
A friend of mine gave me a Sony 12" Box Subwoofer but the only problem is that don't know much about car audio.

Here's what I was thinking about:

- Fusion iPod Head Unit
- Amp (Need suggestions. I think I need a 4-channel one)
- Sony subwoofer (Getting a second one to match what I have)
- Speakers (Need suggestions/help)

Now I want to know, is this a good idea?

Also what should I do about the Amp and replacing the Speakers?

Finally, do you think I'll have to augment my current battery?

well first law of car audio is to trash all sony products, their terrible

if you wanna get a head unit, go with alpine, kenwood, or pioneer.. they make the best and have good ipod connections

if you wanna put all stock speakers around, go with polk audio, of infinity kappa for speakers

a good amp to power speakers would be kicker amps, mtx, rockford fosgate

good subs you could get are mtx, kicker, alpine, rockford fosgate, jl

and a good amp to power your subs would be kicker, mtx, alpine, rockford fosgate...
