That's exactly the point. It's an unwinnable "war" and it funds the military industrial complex that had been seeing fewer and fewer funds since the collapse of the Soviet Union. A new Cold War was needed, and the events of 9/11 presented Republican leadership with the perfect excuse to start it.
 
I think that's the best way to sum up what's happened since 9/11. That 9/11 presented the government the opportunity to take advantage of the situation, and to allow the huge increase in power that they have attained since.

i thought it was funny that during his speech, Obama was saying all of these great things about America, but his next sentence was a call for change.
 
I'll vote for Obama because of Joe Biden. You'd have to be a slack-jawed idiot that's completely clueless about any of the real world to vote for McCain.
 
"Hope and change" for the greatest country on earth doesn't sit well with people that were born, raised, and educated here. Now they contribute to the greater good.

Get a fucking job instead of waiting to vote for months on end.
 
Who the hell needs electrical and civil engineers? Electricians and carpenters do that shit every day, you don't think they can design perfectly safe skyscrapers and related electrical wiring?
 
i think this election is the worst it has ever been. one party picks an inexperienced candidate for pres, the other picks an inexperienced candidate for vp based solely on the image they give the party's ticket.
