Attn: Everyone

we all say its "fun" because it IS... you actually get into the games instead of just random button presses.

I guess its hard to explain unless you play one for awhile. it took about 1 hour of weirdness to get into it. with a group of people its just plain fun and funny.

It will be interesting to play games that I won't randomly pass out especially RPG's... there is always at least once per game I will fall asleep playing it. But if i am swinging my arms around like a monkey i doubt i can just pass out.

um, not sure if you understand this, but Nintendo's Primary audience in creating the Wii was not the average gamer. It was every person that does not play games, mainly. 80% of their commercials were aimed at adults. I have done a ton of research cuz I'm doing a paper on it as we speak. Anyway, I would fall into that category (I hate consoles, sooo boring to me). I love the Wii. everyone I've met, whether they're a gamer or not, young or old, has loved the Wii. I am taking it to my parents' house tomorrow because I know they'll love the Wii. None of these people give two shits about the ps3 or 360. Sorry, graphics are NOT exciting in any way to me, or the general population that doesn't play games. They especially don't make up for boring games. Sure, the other consoles may have slightly fun games, but not as fun for everyone as the wii games. If you fancy yourself too "serious" a gamer to bother with the wii, then don't. leave the console to eveyrone else, who will have fun with it.

fun, to me, is something I can have with friends, something that makes me laugh and be happy. Fun, to me, is not concentrating super hard on something alone, cursing the console/pc when I get "killed" etc. sure I like WoW, but it is not as fun to me as wii. I can be social and drink while playing wii, while WoW (and other more serious games) is "serious business." I could not do it while drinking, and while friends watched. Obviously fun is different to everyone, but I am just stating, from the PoV of a person that hardly plays games on the console, why the wii is fun, and therefore different. apparently that's how a lot of people that are in my boat think. thus, the appeal.

Fun: Enjoyment that does not feel like you wasted time and sometimes is able to cater to groups larger than one.

That being said, PS3 is fun. Wii is fun.
Only reason I am excited about the Wii, it has provided Fun in a different median than I have been use to for the past years.
