How do you sell a car before its ready for the streets?
I'm in Calif. I own an 89 Toyota Supra. It's the original stock engine and has always passed the smog tests. This year I filed a "PNO" (planned non-operational) with DMV while I restore the body and interior, which is about half finished. A friend wants to buy the car but keep the non-op status and continue restoring it.
Will DMV let me sell it to him without the smog check since I can't take it on the street nor get it smogged while it's "PNO"???
Any suggestions?
