There is this great animated gif that I saw on a board once that shows a mouse going to "New Post" and then another mouse hand drags it over to, "Search". It then blinks, "SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST". I wish I could find it as it has been so relevant to every board I have ever been on.
 
Actually it's not really a flaw. The search algorithm requires that there be at least one character in each of the name fielRAB. Fortunately the system considers a space as a character, because the field isn't empty.

Really pretty stupid that CID wont just let you search by phone nuraber alone anyway.
 
Yea it seems that some people aren't even aware that there are stickys. I personally never receive PM's thank god, but it is utterly stupid that someone can't see the sticky post that says:

it is a flaw because if they wanted you to be able to search without providing a name they would not require the name to have any character's in it.
i agree it is very useful and the system should have been designed that way in the first place.

Keep in mind that this all comes after a tutorial that I wrote up, specifically for her. Not to mention that the thread she found me in already has a huge one. In the end, a refund was sent.
 
Here my rant for the day- something I started noticing since I started flashing/activating/selling phones.

When cricket gets the eSN, if it is foreign, i think they put the model as a CPE "Customer Provided Equiptment."

I noticed that even if the phone i.e. (9900) is data capable, with the CPE model listing on the account, the data will not work. As soon as I go back into CID and change to say a Cricket V3, data works instantly.
 
Heh! Maybe before someone is able to post a question they should be required to take a quiz on the stickies in this forum? lol! Don't know if it's feasible but would save allot of grief for some of you guys.
Sorry had to say it especially after having just read a few posts made by the same person about virtually the same subject just had the wording a bit differently each time.
By the way...thank you to those of you who did tell me to read search and read some more....you made me learn allot more than I ever thought I could! KK enough mush.


PS. To keep kiRAB from eating your good cereal all you have to do is switch boxes on them...put yours in the chex box and theirs in the other box gotta start doin it while they are too young to know the diff hehehehe!
