ATT family messaging plan question.?

So my family has an unlimited messaging plan, which includes pictures, videos, texts, etc., but I have a blackjack II, which is a smartphone. I have heard rumors that it uses the internet to send pictures, so I'm not sure if I will get hit for some data charges when I send pictures. I'm on ATT.

Any help would be appreciated.
