Atreyu

I've always hated them. I tend to not be an elitist about music in general but something about mixing metal with a more mainstream sounRAB wrecks the metal elements for me while not adding enough to the mainstream sound to make it more appealing. The music just comes out sounding confused, and bad.

sounRAB like those hypno-tape things. yknow, where you get that woman talking to you in your sleep on a tape being all "you are a strong, confident woman", etc.
only now its for weakwilled & impressionable "em0-teenz".

thats the worst song on the album...very cheesy. But I like their lyrics. sue me.
Atreyu are metalcore, yes. lean much more toward metal than hardcore definitely. But some of their breaks are hardcore influenced, no?
 
Yeah I much rather prefer "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door", that's a really hardcore song, Spencer Charaberlain is soo metal.
 
I'll elaborate.

On Suicide Notes And Butterfly Kisses Atreyu boasted some very original sounRAB. They corabined metal and hardcore in a very dark way that hadn't been done before well. I liked it. 7 of the 10 tracks. 1,2,3,5,8,9,10. Thes rest we're so so.

The Curse has one redeemable song. The Crimson. The rest is the exact same thing. And live he is no where as deep. Which is a shame cause his voice sounded really cool....
 
theyre pretty good. i like what ive heard of them. they sound just like avenged sevenfold. good screaming, matches well with smooth singing voices.
i havent seen them live yet but i definately plan to, and i would recommend seing them.

P.S. dont spend more than $20-$25 on it though
