Yeah the Dunkirk scene just took my breath away. I read a review complaining about it, saying how the scene made Dunkirk look so dismal and sad and hopeless, and it was so ridiculous because that one scene probably encapsulated everything about Dunkirk! Those men fought for that one moment, that one hope they could go home, and because of that the whole scene is beautifully tragic. And the 'Elegy to Dunkirk' soundtrack makes me cry! Does anyone else have the soundtrack?

^^I think so too. I saw the film today and it was fantastic, James and Keira both deserve Oscar nods. It was just so moving. Now I'm gonna read the book, warning though...it's very sad...

that would be awesome! she got one deservedly so for P&P didnt she? she was great in that and its one of my fav movies! :D

Yeah, and i cant believe that dress was actually a two piece! They have a bit of one of the dresses used framed at Stokesay court where they filmed Atonement, im hopefully going to visit it in the Summer:P

And omg wow you did!? I've been playing Ave Maria like non stop since i heard it! You're so lucky!!

SkateGirl88 Lovely video , thanks :)
I loved the movie. Why do they always end on a sad,sad note ? Haven't read the book tho'. Not interested anymore :sigh:

I think there should be. It's a pretty big film so I think there'd be a lot of extra features.

I want to read the book too, btw whoever read the book and saw the movie, is the movie and the book the same or different?

Don't even ask me how many times I cried (both in watching the movie and reading the book).

Oh I definitely hated the Briony character, but I loved how they set up her character in the beginning with her always living in a fantasy world so it seemed almost believable for her to lie like that.

I don't think her being 13 gives her any excuses though because she still wanted to believe that someone she grew up with would do something like that when she had no real evidence besides her own thinking.

Robbie and Cecilia were just..so good. They never even had any time to take Briony aside without all the family there and tell her that they love each other. So so sad.

Hi everyone

I've watched this movie, like a week ago, and I couldn't help but cry my eyes out :bawl: it's such an awesome love story but it also left a bittersweet taste in my mouth, most bitter than sweet actually!
At first I understood the little girl, she had a crush and I can get it, but then I started to dispise and hate her :look: she didn't stand up and said the truth when she could, when she still could have changed the events, she waited too much untill it was too late and she was aware of what she was doing :( ... she understood her mistake too late, and this regret hunted her for her entire life.

I haven't read the book yet, but I'll look for it :D

oh its the same in the book (with even more detail as a mater of fact) I just think its more powerful and passionate in the movie.

Our local newspaper is saying that Keira should get an Oscar bid 2 (nomination) in this movie
