I really liked this movie which is weird because I'm not a Keira fan. I thought James was amazing.

I don't think that her crush ever had anything to do with it. I think it was the letter and the circumstances more than anything. The letter made her view Robbie differently then before. Then when something terrible happened, she thought of the letter, and her mind linked the two together, leading her to think it was Robbie, when it wasn't really. She probably supressed the memory of who it actually was until she was old enough to realize the contents of the letter didn't mean Robbie was capable of rape.

I heard that dress (which i loved as well) went up for auction for a charity. so some lucky person brought it :)

The book is my all time favorite book rivaled only by The Diary Of Anne Frank. It's a fantastic book that gives us much more detail to Cee and Robbie's story. The movie though was VERY loyal to the book and only tinkered with the ending a bit. I guess the only bonus that comes with the book is that you get to actually read deeper into the thoughts of each character.

Esp. their thoughts when the library love scene was happening. ;)

I love this movie and want to buy it when it comes out in Australia (april 30th) i saw the movie in the cinemas in december :) I love the actors in it and the storyline is very beautiful!

No i dont have the soundtrack. where did u buy it?

ROCKSTAR- you put that so beautiful :)

Does anyone know where I can find the music that is played in the movie's trailer? It's that really simple piano music, only a few notes. It's absolutely beautiful. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I haven't seen most of the competition so I can't guess its chances but it definately belongs in that category.

I'll have to see it again soon since I'm sure I missed somethings by being soo angry at Briony's actions because of her silly little crush.

I hope James can some how sneak out a win even though DDL seems to have it locked. That scene in Cecelia's flat was the hardest one for me. Seeing Robbie broken killed me!

Heh. I know. Tragic endings make for haunting stories, but you almost expect movies like this to end in death and sadness. That's why I skip some of these Dramas, they impact me even though they're just movies.

Finally saw it on DVD and, as a massive fan of the book and not much of a Keira Knightley fan, gotta say I was pleasantly suprised. Really liked it :)

That dress was a two peice? Holy crap... But it was freakin stunning. Who ever got it was damn rich & damn lucky

& Yeah when she was singing that we were had our tv's on & all we had to do was mute it & we heard her clear as day. I'm agnostic & had no care for the song but when she singing, I was stunned cause it was georgous.
