I've been searching for that music as well, but just the part right after "Breathing space." I can't seem to find it anywhere :/

This movie was so mazing and intense. It was such a faithful adaptation of the book. The performances were fanatastic and I can;t believe that Keira/ James didn't get any noms. I would (and have been) highly recommending this movie to everyone. It left me utterly speechless. No words. Just WOW

It's been over a week since I saw this film and I'm still thinking about it. It was just a beautiful film. The thing that stands out the most to be is the music and the directing. It was breathtaking. I should really take the time to catch this film again.
 
I am so happy that atonement won best picture at the baftas. It is coming out on dvd here on march 14th i think.

It is a month away :yay:
 
^ I think in the book it did say about Briony being in love with Robbie. I'm not a 100%, I'll have to have a read again and remember. :lol:

The young Briony was really good. They all were good, though. An I can't say I felt for her either. She should've known better.

James owned this movie. Out of everybody in it, he did amazingly.
 
I am also waiting to see the movie - probably in a couple of week, and then read the book :)
 
I know! How amazing? They're leading the nominations as well, no one else got that many. Come on James! :cheerleader:
 
I actually hated Briony more in the book.In the movie,I actually felt for her by the time Romola took over the role.Although I do remember in the book,I liked Old!Briony.

Also,maybe this is just my bad memory bc I read the book two years ago but in the book,wasn't it ambiguous whether Briony was in "love" with Robbie or not? I found it interesting that she just kind of states it in the movie.

So I watched Atonement for the second time on youtube after seeing it a month ago in theaters and I have to say i still had the same reaction.I still wept like a baby during the last 10 minutes.I'm still not crazy about Keira's performance but it only strengthened my love of James McAvoy.He'll def. have tough competition this award season but I think his performance was pretty much perfect.Every look he gives is haunting.I loved him before but even just seeing this a second time,it makes me love him even more...he's just one hell of an actor.

And I still love all three Brionys.I still don't know why Romola keeps getting looked over.I think she was just as strong as the the others.They're all brilliant!

I can understand why some people might not like the film but...I'd like to hear someone's explanation.Anyone on here care to share their reasons for not liking it? I'm just interested!
 
I really wish they could give out two Best Actor awards :lol: Or at least runner up haha.I think James' work was just amazing.I just saw There Will be Blood though and must say that DDL deserves the award just as much.It's hard though...they gave such different performances.Two awards really would be better ;)
 
I've had it pre-ordered for quite some time now. :lol:

I adore this movie. They book was great, I was so pleased they pulled it off amazingly. :)
