Atonement is a long time coming here in the US compared to everywhere else. I wonder why. I want to see it in theaters...though I'm a pirate and have other ways to see it if I just can't wait. (Though even if I do that and I'll still go to the theaters)

Oh and I posted this on the Keira thread but I'll put it here too since this is the Atonement thread.

But that lasted only a summer.



I heard the Golden Globes has been canceled due to the Writer's Strike. :cry:

Just curious-- I read the book before I saw the movie. Is anyone else here an Atonement book fan & then saw the movie??????
 
I just got home from seeing this, and I was blown away by it. It was so good. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. James and Keira both deserve their Golden Globe noms, and Saiorse (or however you spell her name) was fantastic. She's going to have a terrific career, I predict that now. I have the book, and I started reading it before but I never finished it, and now I'm glad because I was really shocked by the ending, and I'm glad I wasn't spoiled for that. I'm a big Keira fan, have been ever since I saw P&P, and I think I'm in love with James even more now. :)

i hope they ahve specail features on the dvd :)
