Atomic Betty Redux speculation thread

As some of you may know there is a new Atomic Betty series in the works that takes place in the nearby future and "Betty is all grown up". I don't know if she is literally grown up or just a teenager. It is a kids show, so I doubt the time skip is that extreme. It probably take place a few years later in the time period where The Future Is Now! took place.

What aspects of The Future Is Now! will be retained? Obviously Maximus will not have tooken over the world and everyone is hiding from him, probably not, okay 99% chance that won't be the case. But I hope they retain the extended earth galatic warrior team. I loved the idea of Betty's friends being galactic guardians.

I hope the public knows about aliens, and the galactic guardians like the rest of the universe, and have aliens live on earth like everyday people and not have to hide their true selves. It is the future, why not? I don't know if they should know Betty is a galatic guardians, especially her parents. Than it would be more like Ben 10: Alien Force / Ultimate Alien, and Kim Possible.

But I defentely want Penelope to know, give her something to be envious about, and take the rivalory to another direction, she could often scheme to out hero Betty and forced to be accpeting into the galactic guardians and / or expose Betty as a galactic guardian depending on her mood, and if they decide to retain the secret identity aspect or just drop that altogether. (though I know scheme to become a galactic guardian is similar to Princess from the Powerpuff Girls, but she wouldn't be a straight out villain, just a J. Johan Jamison or Will Harangue level of antagonist) Then if that is the case, strictly her goal is to scheme to get into the galactic warrirors and / or try to get Betty kicked out of the galatic guardians.

Hopefully Noah will at some point find the courage to ask Betty out. If she rejects him, it is still better than never trying.

Not a fan but since the show its on The Hub i believe its nice opportunity in my opinion to make a sequel.......just hope it doesn't turn out like Alien Force.

i've heard about that, it actually already started airing on U.S. four months ago. its airing on a channel called "The Hub."

Yeah I know it is airing on the Hub, but that is just the original series. I am sure it probably will eventtuly, but I am sure it will air on Teletoon first.

I don't know if this is from the first series but this is how Betty will look like older:

Yeah that is from the series finale of the first series. I think that is probably what we will see in ABR. So the series finale may have turned out to be a pilot for the spinoff series.

I'm not the biggest Atomic Betty fan there is, but I'd be completely in favor of this idea. I never liked the idea that the existence of aliens and the Galactic Patrol (or whatever it's called) is this big secret that's kept from the people of Earth. I'd love it if the writers did away with the secret angle.

Why shouldn't they know? If the world were to know about the existence of aliens, what would be the point in hiding the fact that Betty is a Galactic Guardian from her folks? Of course, I would say that because I've never liked secret identities. (Not saying that secret identities aren't necessary in some cases or that they should be done away with altogether, I've just never been a fan of them.)

I don't know, I said I wasn't sure. Could go either way there, her parents don't seem like the brightest people in the world, maybe not as dumb as the Turners, so Betty could convince them the job is safe. The only reason it might be best to keep it from parents it they might forbit from going on these missions. But as long as they are cool with Betty on these missions, they should know.

Speaking of families, should Betty have a little sister? Either a real sister by blood, or Admerall De Guilt orders Betty's family to adapt a little alien kid. I know Percey fills the role of the bratty little brother (which I think was a very clever change of pace from other shows that have bratty younger siblings, they followed the formula by did it in a different way), but I am asking a supportive younger sibling that looks up to Betty.

I hope we see Paloma again also, I just realised Betty's family is similar to Ben Tennison's family with the heros skip a generation.
