support, not just opinion.? I am a man who desires to find truth in life, and I have a strong Christian faith. I believe there is such thing as real and absolute truth, even though people have been asking, What is truth? for thousands of years (e.g. Pontius Pilate).
As far as my Christian faith, more and more I find myself searching for evidence of Jesus as the Messiah, and the more I search for it, the more I find it. I look at Isaiah 53, even in the Hebrew Bible (of which there is no real supposed translation error in the eyes of Judaism) and I can't help but think that the passage is a direct messianic prophecy of Jesus. Still, I understand many here are likely of a different opinion.
So, here is what I am proposing: Please post for me your best argument against Jesus as the fulfillment of the Jewish messianic prophecies. I'm not concerned with other arguments, only your statements as to why he does not directly fulfill the requirements.
If I can ask something more, please be respectful. We come on to Yahoo Answers to seek truth collectively, even despite our differences. So please try to lay down hatred and bias, and give me a CLEAR, LOGICAL, and RESPECTFUL argument as to why you see the messianic roles differently than I do. Thank you all in advance for your input.
