Atheists - what sort of lifestyle/ culture do you follow?

Most religion dictates culture but then again so does where you come from.
So without a religion what set of rules do you follow?
Has it been influenced by where you come from?
Do you follow the general Christian morals or just do what you think is right/ do whatever you please?
Surely you must have some sort of culture - even if derived from yourself.
What are your views on:-
-Racism
-Premarital sex
-Sexism
-Homosexuality
-Marriage
-Drinking

Just curious to know.
No offence intended Ben :)
I'm not ignorant - I already know practically every other religion's views on the above. Obviously it varies according to how committed you are to your religion and what religion you follow etc. but generally it's fairly consistent. With Atheist's however, culture definitley does vary - a lot - as exemplified by all of your very interesting answers, which I must thank you all for taking the time to answer.
P.S. I am not a Christian, I just assumed that everyone knew the general morals of a Christian

Your society determines your morality and lifestyle more than anything else. You only need to look at how the Christian view of slavery has changed over the years to see that.

Personally I've been married 13 years now. I think religion is far to tied up in sex. Drinking within reason is fine. I could care less if someone is gay, although I think it's rather gross personally,.

The general Christian morals of what's right and wrong? No, I don't care for their "guidelines" as none of them follow their own "guidelines" anyways. They say their basic principal is peace, well yeah you'd hope most people would want that ... they didn't invent the notion that people should not kill each other.

- Racism: I think racism is wrong, obviously. Hating someone based on skin color is stupid. However, I'm not a PC freak that will refuse to state the obvious when it's obvious, like affirmative action for example. Affirmative Action itself is racist against Caucasian males.

- Premarital sex: I have nothing against this. It's based on the notion that everyone is supposed to be married. Lot's of people have no intention to ever be married.

- Sexism: Same comment I had for racism.

- Homosexuality: Is natural and there is nothing wrong with it.

- Marriage: I personally have no plans to be married, at least not now ... maybe one day my opinion on that will change, but as of now, I have zero desire to ever be married. I think everyone should have the right to be married though, but what I'd really like is for the government to be out of the business of marriage all together (i.e. no special rights just because people are in a superficial bond recognized by the government). But obviously that isn't going to happen anytime soon, so I'm a major advocate for gay marriage, and definitely not "civil unions" which is just a watered down way to provide marriage rights to gays without offending the religious types.

- Drinking: Is fine within moderation.

I'm a 16 year old high school student, (Male), From Australia

Im very left-wing, I think all churchs should be burned down. Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay Marriage. Abortions should be free.

And sex changes should be paid for by the government! It's a medical issue!

Why are there so many transvestite prostitutes on the street who are selling themselves to pay for their surgery?

Drinking is wonderful, although the drinking age should stay 18.

Premarital sex is fine.

Racism is the worst thing in the world.
