Atheists: I asked this question in science mathematics and physics about "nuclear glue"

can you answer it? Hebrews 1:3 (Jesus) who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

So far I haven't received an answer to this question. I thought maybe someone in this section of Y/A might have the answer.

What proof is there that nuclear glue is derived from the strong interaction that holds protons together?

I read this explanation "It is nuclear binding energy that holds an atomic nucleus together. Some science teachers insist it's called the strong nuclear force, which is not quite correct.) It is this nuclear force that overcomes the repulsive electrostatic force of the protons, which is acting to try to push the nucleus apart. The nuclear binding energy is created from what is called mass deficit, where all the protons and neutrons in a given nucleus give up a small amount of their mass, and this mass is converted into the binding energy. And if you guessed that an atomic nucleus has less mass than the sum of the masses of its constituent protons and neutrons, the nucleons, you would be correct."

Does anyone have a link where it can be proved that this is anything more than a guess?
Observer IV, that was a good explanation. The other person who put in links don't work.

But what I'm wondering is how they "know" that this is really happening? Is there some mathematical calculations applied to protons that shows that their natural tendency to repel from one another is overcome by this process?

Err....maybe you aren't getting an answer because there is nothing called nuclear glue. You would have a tough time making less sense.

There is the strong force and the weak force. They both make more sense and are better understood than gravity. So what exactly is your point, and what does any of this have to do with believing in the existence of a sky dude?
