ATHEISTS- do you find Dane Cook's joke "the atheist" funny?

lol yeah i can see this joke would get ya in the "red". but lets think about this. since majority of you say he not funny in general. is this retaliation from this one joke. or youve listened to his other stuff and had no comedy effect on you at all?
 
Only atheists can joke about atheism and make it funny.

When Dane Cook does it, it makes christains look even more retarded than they are.

Dane Cook used to be funny. He lost it when he 'hit the bigtime'. No retaliation is necessary. It happens to a lot of comedians.
 
It's funny how the atheists joke about Christians on here but they can't take a joke from the funniest comedian EVER b/c it's about them...hmmm
 
I don't find Dane Cook funny in general. In fact, I find that he quite often destroys my sense of humor.

Edit: To answer your second question, I have seen his other stuff, and almost all of it is just not funny.

I really think you have to be on the lower end of the intelligence scale to find him funny.
 
WOW apparently atheists have NO sense of humor whatsoever. What a bunch of boring ass people!! Dane Cook is hilarious no matter what religion you are or aren't.
 
I've never found Dane Cook funny, that joke included.

That joke is probably one of the last things I heard from Dane Cook because someone linked to it here and I starting making a point to avoid him long ago. So no, that joke has nothing to do with why I don't find him amusing. He's just not funny. And considering the amount of money I've spent in comedy clubs it's not as if I'm overly picky when it comes to comedy. I just don't like comics who aren't funny.
 
He isn't proving God, or refuting Atheist's claim that there is no God.

He's just ripping on an Atheist who happens to be a jerk (being pissed off someone says "God Bless You" is a jerk move no matter what you believe).

Of course the religious minded people will be going "HAHAHAHA THAT PROVES ATHEISM IS WRONG AND MY RELIGION IS RIGHT!!!"
 
dane cook has yet to say anything that is funny, why should this be different?

i'll look it up but when the guy has a 0% track record for funny jokes to the point that calling him a "comic" or "comedian" is an oxymoron i'm not enthusiastic about his chances here.
 
I've seen the joke; it wasn't very funny to me, and I'm not an atheist.

In fact...I don't really enjoy Dane Cook's material. Now George Carlin was a comedian, and I'm not even thinking of his religious humor.

EDIT--@ Amy: actually, if you bother to read the answers, simple literacy will tell you that most of us--atheist and non-atheist--just don't care for Dane Cook's stuff. The joke really is ancillary to that.

EDIT--I've seen Dane Cook's other stuff, and I just don't like it. It's not my kind of humor.
 
haha! I love that skit!! Kind of a douch bag way to respond to a simple phrase. People tell me god bless you all the time and i just say thank you
 
I listened to it on youtube with an open-mind i lol'd a little when he was talking about the word snarky but I didn't think the rest of it was funny, even if I was a different religion I wouldn't think it was funny, it was a bad joke.
