Here are some things that prove the Flood story in the Bible is older than the Epic of Gilgamesh (we know it's older because the Bible is true so the Epic of Gilgamesh is an altered version of the original).
1) Where is the evidence that the Epic of Gilgamesh is older?
2) They describe the same occurence so it's evidence that the Flood stories happened at the same time.
3) The Flood took place in 2,348BC. The Gilgamesh story came about long after that date.
4) The flood story in the Bible alludes to water beneath the ocean floor and to hydrothermal vents. These were discovered in only recent decades. Does the Epic of Gilgamesh say as much?

11In the year 600 of Noah's life, in the seventeenth day of the second month, that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and burst forth, and the windows and floodgates of the heavens were opened
5) Even if it was older that does not mean it's truer.
