Atheist how do you stop yourselves from laughing while debating christians?

It's rather hard to laugh when you can't think of anything intelligent to answer the Christian's question with. I mean how are you supposed to defend the belief that our ancestors were monkeys?

Actually, I don't laugh at them.

Their beliefs are just so very well ingrained and I don't believe they've taken the opportunity to exercise their critical-thought muscle on this subject. They've been taught that faith is the name of the game.
