...Does anyone have any knowledge? about when it was believed that the earth was flat and sitting on the back of a turtle and the turtle was swimming in a cosmic sea? I know I did not make this up. And was the Bible in existence when this was believed? Please scholars or somebody - has anyone ever heard of this?
Job:26:7 - beleived to have been written 1500 bc (okay bce)
 
That was a native American myth that the Earth was on the back of a turtle. Yes, the Bible was around...but on the other side of the ocean.
 
The belief you describe is not Biblical ... there is nothing of the sort mentioned in scripture, and it is not a middle-eastern legend.
 
It was not in bibel.
I think it happens somewhere in Hinduism.

"Turtles all the way down" is the punchline to an old joke if you wanna Google it.

Yes, however this was not a belief held by Christians.

It was an Iroquois creation myth. So even if the Bible existed, it was half a world away and the Iroquois had no knowledge of it, so I don't see how that would be relevant.
