Ate Way Too Much at Pizza Buffet...could this hurt my pregnancy?

Today being Friday and the day of my 12 week ultrasound (which went great!), I decided to go to the pizza buffet with my husband. It's one of those places where you pay $5 and you can have all the pizza you want. Well I had way too many of those little slices; I'm talking about like 10 slices. It never used to bother me, but that was before I was pregnant. So here I am, at 4 AM and can't sleep because I threw up twice and had diarrhea twice (sorry about the TMI). Here's the thing; I'm 13 weeks pregnant; Did I hurt my baby by eating all that awful pizza and all that fat and calories? I can't sleep because of it and my stomach hurts from the irritation and nausea to boot. I wanted to call a 24 hour nurse line, but it looks like my insurance co doesn't have one.
BTW...I am never going back to this place again...at least not while I'm pregnant. Adding to the list of restaurants that get me sick...

No, your baby will be just fine. Can't say the same for your poor stomach or bum. Get some preparation H and get ready to ride out the long night. I feel ya. Good luck and hope you can get some rest soon.

Sweetie, this will not hurt the baby, as long as you make it a habit not eat like that all the time. If you're vomiting and have diarrhea, it's possible that you could have a little virus. Just something else to consider. However, be sure to monitor your fluid intake as to avoid dehydration. Drink plenty of clear fluids and get rest. Good luck to you and congrats!! ♥

No....eating too much won't hurt the baby. You are probably just feeling crappy because you simply ate too much. Try eating smaller, more frequent meals and if you indulge in greasy, fatty food again maybe take a few tums afterward to combat the yucky feeling you get.

No, the baby will be fine. It's not the best food to eat but it won't hurt your baby. It just sounds like you have an upset stomach. As long as the pizza didn't have any of the 'no-no' foods such as swordfish, sushi, lots of tuna etc (which I doubt it did) everything's a-ok.
