At what temp and how long should I cook my ribs?

I'm thinking steam cooking them at 275F for 3 hrs then cranking the heat up to 400 and getting the outside crispy Does this sound okay? I've never made ribs in the oven before. If you have any suggestions on how I should do this then I would be greatly appreciative. Oh... they're pork back ribs. 1.60-something lb family pack.
Oh, yeah. I'm definitely adding the sauce at the end. Probably should've said that. And I have mesquite and hickory flavored liquid smoke. Which one should I use or should I just use both?
