At what altitude the curvature of earth would be clearly visible?

i have a feeling that i did see a slight dip of big big sphere planet earth on the two ends from my vision glass of aircraft flying at a height of 34000 ft ~

am i right or it is just an illusion~
 
As soon as you get above tree line by two fold
.
Then you see it is kind of round looking
.
 
just go to the seaside, maybe on a hill
like Polruan or something, you can sort of see some curvature there
