...the teeangers kill God.

I can't beleive that this series is going ahead, being marketed as children's films!? Surely, a series where they kill God should at least be a 12!?
 
The god is fictional. They also did not intend to kill him. He died because he was too vulnerable. The substance of dust( which is what they are trying to save) is more of a god.

Research before making such ignorant claims.

I have read that article in the past. I see it as an extreme exaggeration. The only anti theme of christianity i got in those books was what mary malone said but thats just a characters opinion.
Everything else is fictional ONLY using religion as an idea to EXPLORE other possibilities.
The people who wrote that article are ignorant to the themes and ideology of the books. They are not against religion in particular but the people who worship and abuse their power. Its more a story of good and evil.

I have no reason to research as I have read the books. Your basing your opinion on the ignorance of anothers.
 
I have read the books also.

If you believe you know the books better than the author, than okay, but I believe the only right interpretation is that of the author, who said himself that he wants to bring down Christianity, and said that in the end of the books they do indeed kill God.

Of course they killed god and of course he may feel that religion is bad because it sometimes is. This is shown through the books with people abusing the power of religion.

People are causing problems out of nothing.
 
How is it possible to kill something that doesn't exist?

Though, now you mention it, I do remember Xena killed a few of the Greek pantheon, so maybe it's possible after all?

Why? Do you think it is something they are likely to imitate?

Personally I think it is pro-religious films that ought to get a strict rating. For example, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is only U. It might lead children to think their faults can only be redeemed by the death and resurrection of someone else.
