AT&T Sets the Record Straight on Verizon Ads

To Our Customers:
As the U.S. market leader in wireless data service, we typically don't respond to competitors' advertising. However, some recent ads from Verizon are so blatantly false and misleading, that we want to set the record straight about AT&T's wireless data coverage.
The key facts are:

I travel quite a bit, and I can tell you first hand. Verizon isn't lying about their coverage. It's excellent! You'd have to really try hard to get out of their coverage range.

A few questions -

1. Are you happy with the cellular recption you currently have?
2. Are you happy with the data reception you currently have?

Reasons to switch -

1. My current service s**ks
2. Customer service at my current service has done me wrong
3. New carrier has a phone I can't live without
4. I know somebody with the service I'm thinking of switching to and it rocks

Think about it, two more years is a long time
:smart:

I have had at&t left about 6-8 years ago and have never looked back

I travel for a living; up to 8 months ago my company used Verizon for Blackberry service. I never had a problem with the coverage when we had Verizon. Since we switched I have found AT&T coverage in CA, WA, OR, HI, AK GA and TX to be less than desirable or non existent. I own a home in WA and I cannot get AT&T coverage for data or voice within 8 miles. The latest AT&T map show coverage is available but I get no service. On-the-other-hand, my friend who has Verizon gets both data and voice service. Additionally, my other Blackberry got Verizon data and voice service at the house. Talk about frustration.....

Based upon my several years experience I plan to go with Verizon when I buy my personal cell service.:)

I think Verizon is missing a golden opportunity in not basing their commercials on personal experience of coverage which could not be refuted in a law suit by AT&T.
