My family is planning on purchasing some new phones very soon, and my brother and I are very interested in the Motorola Backflip, however, my parents are not a fan of the $30 per line, per month unlimited data plan that comes with it. While looking at our current contract online, it has come to my attention that there is an option for an unlimited family data plan for $10, covering the whole family. Will this plan work with these phones if we were to purchase this plan? Am I able to request this plan at an AT&T store, or is it only available online? If my thoughts are correct, I find it pretty sneaky how they claim that the $30 per line/month is "required" however this family plan is not listed anywhere else but under the "My Services" tab of my online account.
