At American schools and universities did you learn the history of Brazil?

Hello, people.

Did you learn the geography and history of Brazil at American schools and universities?
At my Brazilian schools, I've learned the geography and history from the USA.
 
I'm in eleventh grade, and I haven't really learned that much about Brazil. We learned about its industrialization a bit in my human geography class last year, but that's it.
