ASUS System Failed CPU Test?

Okay im no computer tech but i do know alot about computers but this has never happened before so sorry if this is a dumb question or something. My computer is an Asus AMD Athlon 64 processor, 2.0 GHz 3.00 GB of RAM. Heres the story, I was playing oblivion and I saved the game and then all of the sudden the screen went black. I had no idea what had happened so I rebooted the computer just thinking that the game and froze up or something normal like that and when i hit the power button the screen stayed black and out of no where a voice starts yelling "System failed CPU test" I have no idea what went wrong. Please help quickly im dying without playing all my favorite games. Thanks to all who help
