The average distance from Earth to the Moon is 0.00252 AU. During a solar eclipse
we notice that the Moon appears to be approximately the same size in the sky as the
Sun, which is at an average distance of 1 AU. From this information, what can be
said about the ratio of the diameter of the Sun to the diameter of the Moon? Explain
your reasoning and use simple diagrams as illustrations. Zero credit will be given
for simply writing down a number.
