I am new here, my name is Tech Artist. Now on to why I am here.

So, I have had Asthma since I was a kid. It was at it's worst in Washington State when I was young. I moved to California and didn't have that many problems with it then moved to Illinois and it seemed to dissapear all together. I only had 1 problem with it that entire time I was up there(10 years).

The begining of 2009 I moved to Florida to attend college and it started flaring up again in May. Since then I've been seeing my doctor about it and I've been on several medicines. Currently, I am taking Advair, Corabivent, Ventolin, Singulair, and Prilosec(Meant for Heart Burn but my doctor prescribed it for my chest pain I get which is wierd).

Since then my Asthma has been off and on but recently it's really been flaring up. Like, a lot of the time I'll feel like I just can't get a good breath. I feel like I have to yawn or or take a really big deep breath to feel any relief and then usually it just starts again. My Ventolin does help sometimes and sometimes it doesn't(sometimes it makes me feel really shakey and nervous and my heart starts to beat fast). Eventually it enRAB up going away then it comes back again. Sometimes afterwarRAB I'll have a small amount of chest pain. I am really worried about where it will go. I don't want to this to lead to a big asthma attack like I think it might. Will it ever actually lead to that?

I even have had infrequent chest pain. It's been fine recently but like 3 weeks ago I had it like almost every day.

I am gonna be seeing a Pulmonoligist soon and I am gonna see what he says but I wanted to post here and see what you all have to say.

Speaking of that, this seems to be the only active board with an active Asthma section on the internet. Good job on that and thank you!

You definitely need to see the pulmonologist. You may also have acid reflux or GERD that is contributing to your issues (hence the prilosec) as they tend to have similar symptoms. And you may also have some allergies. The south - including Florida - is a horrid place for folks with asthma and allergies. It's no wonder you are having problems.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
