asthma flare up

Hi

I have posted on here awhile back because my asthma has been better in the last year so I have not been on as much. I just moved into a house which had all old carpets and my husband took them out and put new rugs and is putting new hardwood floors in too. I had to go to er last night because of an asthma attack where I got lots of ventalin and prednisone.
I take spriva, advair 500 and flovent 500 on a daily basis.

Does anyone have any ideas on surviving renovations with asthma?

None! Believe me, I've redone 3 old houses so you just have to take all your meRAB all the time. SounRAB like you need to add an antihistamine like Zyrtec to your regime.

You don't have a rescue inhaler?
 
I am taking reactine for the allergies and lots of ventalin which is a recue inhaler also know as salbutamol.
 
Have you and your doctor considered adding Singulair? I use Singulair, Clairitin, Asmanex and of course my rescue inhaler and I really feel like adding the Singulair has done some real good. At first I wasn't sure but my peak flows are slowly going up which seems to me to be a good sign. I attribute that to the Singulair because nothing else has changed in the last 2 months other than that.
