Asthma Attack?

I'm not sure if I am having an asthma attack or not. I've been taking Advair for a few days now (3 to be exact) and this morning, I woke up to the left side of my body feeling very strange.

It feels as if the muscles in the left side of my upper butt, upper leg, upper arm/shoulder area, and foot are tightening up or clenching. It's subtle pain, but very uncomfortable. I thought maybe I slept on it wrong, and got back in bed. The pain continued, and I'm still having the problem. I tried walking, and it is very uncomfortable to walk on that leg.

I am not having apparent issues with wheezing, but my chest feels tight as well, although I am not having chest pain, there is discomfort.

My stomach is also growling profusely, but I do not have an appetite. I feel sort of light headed/faint and shaky, which I am pretty sure comes from taking the Advair (which is a sample, mind you, I can not actually afford to purchase the diskus).

I remeraber having similar symptoms when my asthma was bothering me when I was really young, but I have not experienced these sensations since then.

I am not sure if this is due to increased anxiety, or if I may be having the on-set of an asthma attack.

I guess I will find out soon enough. I'm well enough to type this, right? Although, I am not feeling well at all, and would like an answer, and if this is not asthma-related, a suggestion or three to help me feel better.

Thank you for your time!

I'm alive!!

But what was that this morning?

I am going to have to stop taking Advair. It helps me, I don't need my rescue-inhalor at all when I'm using Advair, but the rest of my body gets messed up.

I get super shaky, I get headaches, and I believe it makes me a bit more anxious (I am already an anxious person, so this bit of added anxiety is definitely un-needed).

Aaar.

Advair is like crack for asthmatics, in my opinion. It's like... I go through "withdrawal" whenever I need to take it again, or whenever I'm forced to stop taking it due to affordability.

I used to have insurance, before I turned 18, so affordability wasn't an issue, and I was on Advair for several years. During that time-frame, not once did I need to use a rescue inhaler. That's what I have looked forward to with Advair, not this shaking-body-syndrome.

Without Advair, the time I experience the most discomfort from my asthma is when I'm ready to sleep. When I lay down, my chest tightens up, and it seems to get worse until I take my rescue inhaler (and then, hopefully, fall asleep).

"Oh, asthma, where would I be without you?"

Well, I am assuming you've used your rescue inhaler and it hasn't helped so am inclined to say it isn't asthma causing all this. Perhaps you hav a picnhed nerve that is causing this sensation in your arm and leg, etc. I have one that causes that. It flares up every now and then.

I don't think that is asthma. I have asthma for 17 years and I have not experienced that same condition. I have difficulty breathing but not chest pains. You may have asthma but you may also be suffering from the side effects of the medication you are taking. I would visit my doctor if I were you to ask why your body acts that way. Swimming is also a good cardio exercise that can help you relieve from asthma. I know so many people who have felt better since they started swimming regularly.
